Look-out the New Orleans Saints is dead serious in defending its National Football League crown this year.
This developed after the Saints defeated the tough Pittsburgh Steelers to show the world that they are for real in the current NFL season.
Saints superstar quarterback Drew Brees was the main man for his team as he connected all but two of 22 passes he attempted in the second half, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns that lifted the Saints to a 20-10 victory over the Steelers.
The victory over the Steelers and its superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hiked the record of the Saints to 5-3 win-loss record.
The victory is also a huge gift to their fans after an embarrassing 30-17 loss at home last week to the scuffling Cleveland Browns.

Crosby scored three field goals to carry the Packers to victory and hand the Jets its second defeat in seven games in the 2010 NFL season.
The victory is also a huge morale booster for the Packers since they literally shutdown the Jets right in-front of their own fans.
The Packers victory also put a stop to the five-game winning streak of the Jets  and shut them out for the first time since a  10-0 loss to Chicago on Nov. 19, 2006, at home.
To get the victory, the Packers employed tough defense on the Jets to improve their win-loss record to 5-3 and solidify further its aim for an NFL playoff spot.
The Packers put a hand-cuff to Mark Sanchez, who is very instrumental in carrying the Jets to the league’s best record prior to their loss to the visiting team.
The win is also a great escape for the Packers since its star quarterback Aaron Rodgers himself do not have a great game like Sanchez.
In the game Rodgers finished 15 of 34 for 170 yards.
Sanchez was 16 of 38 for 256 yards and two interceptions—both on disputed calls—and had at least four passes dropped by receivers.

So close yet so far, the Buffalo Bills had the closes chance to win its first game in the 2010 National Football League season but their effort fell short in a heartbreaking 34-37 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
The Buffalo Bills remain win-less in the current NFL season with a 0-6 win-loss record after their lost to the home-team Baltimore Ravens, who improved to 5-2 this year.
Playing in-front of a hostile crowd, the Bills played inspired in the game against the Ravens and almost upset the favored host team.
However, Ravens safety Ed Reed played villain for the Bulls as he force three turnovers to the visiting team and eventually beat them in their recent game.
Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis also had a nice game for the host team including an important play wherein he stripped the ball from Bills tight end Shawn Nelson, to carry the Ravens to an escaped victory against the Bills.

Bills coach Chan Gailey is both sad sad and happy with their loss.

Luck continues to evade the Dallas Cowboys in the 2010 National Football League season.
The Cowboys, who is an early favorite to win the Super Bowl crown this year suffers its fifth loss and only a single win in the NFL season with a heart-pounding 35-41 loss to the New York Giants.
What is more unfortunate with the loss is the fact that the Cowboys lose its superstar quarterback Tony Romo for six to eight weeks after suffering a left collarbone injury in the game.
Romo, who is considered as the heart and soul of the Cowboys suffered the injury after he was hit hard by Giants linebacker Michael Boley in one plays in the game.
Now that Romo is injured, the opportunity for the Cowboys to enter the NFL playoffs is getting slimmer since his absence leaves a big-hole to fill in the quarterback position.
Expected to fill in the void left by Romo is 38-year-old Cowboys back-up quarterback Jon Kitna who hadn’t played since Oct. 5, 2008, when he was part of Detroit’s win-less season.
Compared to Romo, Kitna is old and less skilled which is why the Cowboys are up for a huge challenge in their remaining games in the NFL regular season especially that Romo is out with an injury.
Back to the game, the Giants were on mission on the night of October 25, as superstar quarterback Eli Manning took advantage of the absence of Romo powering the Giants from a 13-point deficit to a
41-35 victory that put the Giants a full game ahead of the NFC East and tied for the most wins in the conference.
Manning led New York (5-2) on five straight scoring drives over the middle two quarters, posting 31 points.
The loss is very disappointing for the Cowboys who had the chance to win the game before disaster strike when its superstar quarterback got injured.
Romo is very sad with his injury and loss but he remains optimistic with their chances since a 1-5 win-loss record Cincinnati Bengals was still able to enter the playoffs in the 1970 NFL season.
He said all they have to is to play harder in his absence and always follow the game-plan of the team.
The superstar quarterback also wished his replacement Kitna saying the veteran NFL star now has the chance to shine in his absence.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin for his part is very happy with their victory since it strengthen further their chance to enter the NFL playoffs this year.
Coughlin said the Giants lead by Manning are on a mission to capture the Super Bowl crown from the New Orleans whose superstar quarterback Peyton Manning happens to be the brother of his top quarterback.
The 2010 NFL season is now in full-throttle to bring smiles to professional football fans all over the globe.

Sometimes it pays to have a veteran player in the National Football League.
This was lesson learned by the Tennessee Titans after its 37-year-old back-up quarterback Kerry Collins played superb in the team’s 30-3 victory against the home team Jacksonville Jaguars in the ongoing NFL season.
Playing in place of the injured Titans starting quarterback Vince Young, Collins played a man on mission as he completed 11 of 16 passes for 110 yards and a touchdown, directed five consecutive scoring drives and put the Titans (4-2) atop the AFC South.
Titans coach Jeff Fisher was all praises to his veteran back-up quarterback saying he was clearly the hero in the game against the Titans.
Aside from Collins, Titans running back Chris Johnson was also great in the game getting 111 yards rushing and scoring late in the game to move the Titans into a three-way tie with Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans.
Collins was very happy with their win since if further solidify their chances to enter the playoffs and fight for the Super Bowl trophy this year.
In his NFL career, Collins has experience the beauty of being a starter and back-up for the Titans which is why he always prepares hard in every game to ensure he is ready when Fisher wants to use him as starting quarterback.
Playing in-front of its fans, the Jaguars played their best but the injury suffered by its starting quarterback David Garrard was too much to bear in the game.
Without Garrard, Jaguars coach Jack del Rio was force to use recently signed Trent Edwards to play for the injured star quarterback.
Unlike Collins, Edwards was sluggish in the game as he showed that he is not yet familiar with the plays of his teammates.
Luck was clearly not on the side of the Jaguars as the team committed four turnovers and even lose their reliable quarterback.
With their loss, the Jaguars now dropped to 3-3 and finished last in the division the past two seasons and are again in chase mode.
Despite their loss and woeful record, Del Rio is still confident of their chances in the current NFL season saying they just have to limit to their mistakes so that they can have better chances of winning.
He said the Jaguars is matured team that learns to bounce back from its mistake and works hard for the team and its countless fans around the world.
The Titans for its part is still riding high with their victory and hope they can sustain it the rest of the NFL regular season.
Fisher just hope that Young could recover soon from his injury since he is a vital cog of the team’s campaign in the 2010 NFL season.
Based on the recent NFL statistics, among active players, Young has more wins in his first 45 starts than all but a select group of signal callers.

The Baltimore Ravens beat the Steelers 17-14 right at their own home-floor on October 3 through the strong effort of NFL star quarterback Joe Flacco.
