The much awaited Pro Bowl pitting the brightest stars in the NFL AFC Division against the NFC All Stars will finally happen back on its orginal island home.
After bringing the Pro Bowl, the All-Star event in NFL in Miami last year, the NFL executives this year decided to bring back the game in Hawaii.
Drawing 12.3 million viewers last year, the Pro Bowl is one of the most watched and highly anticipated events in professional football.
This year’s match-up will once again be exciting and thrilling to NFL fans all over the globe.
However this year’s game will less stellar and star studded since no Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers on the field or the sidelines.
This developed since these players are getting ready for the Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 6.
It was learned that there are 10 Pro Bowl selections in the Super Bowl, including six Packers.
Last year, Pro Bowlers who were in the Super Bowl were introduced at the stadium but didn’t play.
Despite the absence of some of the brightest names in NFL football the AFC-NFC games still promises to be a slam-bang affair to all professional football fans around the world.
This year, Atlanta Falcons coach Mike Smith will coach the NFC All Stars will have nine of his players in the NFC selection this year.
The AFC on the other hand will be mentored by New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick who will have eight of his players in this year’s AFC roster.
The AFC-NFC game will be considered an even game for the two teams where anyone is very capable of winning against each other.

The Pittsburgh Steelers is fully motivated to win and end the upset run of the New York Jets when they face each other on Sunday night in the AFC Championship game.
Having a better record at the end of the NFL regular season, the Steelers are picked to prevail over the sixth seeded Jets who surprised the world with their strong showing in the NFL playoffs.
Lead by Ben Roethlisberger aka Big Ben the Steelers (13-4) barged into their fourth AFC championship game in his seven years in the league.
The Steelers barged inside the AFC championship after its dramatic win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Two turnovers helped carry the Steelers in a 21-7 hole, but Roethlisberger led it back.
The two-time Super Bowl winner threw two third-quarter TDs to tie the score, and then completed a 58-yard pass to rookie Antonio Brown on third-and-19 late in the fourth, setting up Rashard Mendenhall’s score to punctuate a 31-24 victory.
To beat the visiting Jets, Big Ben needs to give his A-game and stop the upset done by the visiting team against some of the elite NFL teams.
The 6-foot-5, 241-pound Roethlisberger is much bigger and has more experience than Jets rookies quarterback Mark Sanchez.
To defeat the Jets, Big Ben needs to overpower Sanchez and create awesome plays for his team against the visitor.
Aside from Big Ben, Emmanuel Sanders and Mike Wallace also needs to speed up their game to tow the Steelers to victory over the Jets.
Moreover, All-Pro safety Troy Polamalu, must also step up his game to help the Steelers against the Jets.
The Steelers is 31-8 with Polamalu in the lineup since 2008 and 6-7 without him.
The underdog Jets for their part has a huge chance of beating and upset the home-team Steelers if young quarterback Mark Sanchez continuous with his solid game in the NFL playoffs.
Sanchez is 4-1 on the road in the postseason, and his playoff passer rating is 92.2 – 22.0 higher than in the regular season.
If Sanchez can play solid and not be dominated by Big Ben there is a huge chance for the Jets to beat the Steelers.
Having beaten some of the top teams in the NFL this year, the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, Jets rookie coach Rex Ryan has no reason from stopping until they take the Super Bowl crown.
Ryan said his team is fully motivated to beat the Steelers and barged into the Super Bowl against either the Green Bay Packers of Chicago Bears.
He said if his team will play as a team and execute their game-plan well there is no reason they will not win against the Steelers.
With the Super Bowl appearance as reward, the Steelers-Jets game promises to be a slam-bang affair to all professional football fans all over the world.

THE NEW York Jets hopes for another upset win when they visit the New England Patriots lair on Sunday night in the ongoing National Football League playoff race.
The visiting Jets who earlier defeated the Indianapolis last week, hope to gain another NFL playoff victory against the very tough Patriots team.
Coming into their game, the Jets is the huge underdog in their game since the home-team Patriots has won eight straight games through the heroics of Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady.
Despite their underdog tag, Jets coach Rex Ryan is still very determined of beating the Patriots and gets the chance to fight for the Super Bowl crown this year.
Ryan said their perennial rival the Patriots is a tough team to beat but he and the rest of his team are very determined to beat them and shown the world they are a far better team than them.
To beat and upset the Patriots second year quarterback needs to play hard and not allow Brady to dominate him.
Sanchez who played great in the team’s win against NFL AFC champion Indianapolis Colts needs to score and execute great play for his team to defeat the Patriots.
To pull an upset the Jets also needs to play tough defense and do their best to stop or slow down Brady.
The home-team Patriots for its part can avoid an upset and defeat if Brady can once again have a solid game for his team.
According to the NFL data, Brady has won 28 consecutive regular-season home starts since a loss to the Jets in 2006, and had been 8-0 at home in his postseason career prior to last season, when he and the Patriots lost 33-14 in a wild-card matchup against the Ravens.
If Brady and the rest of his team can score big and play tough defense in the game there is no reason for them to lose against the Patriots.
The 2010 is one of the best years for Brady as he finished the season with 36 touchdown passes and four interceptions – the last coming against Baltimore in Week 6.
Since then, he’s thrown an NFL-record 335 consecutive passes without getting picked off.
Brady is very confident of their chances in the game as he vowed that he and his teammates will give it their all come game-time.

The Atlanta Falcons hopes to win its playoff game against the visiting Green Bay Packers at home on Saturday night.
Sporting a better record than the Packers, the Falcons are favored to win its playoff match-up against the Packers.
The Falcons have more reasons to be confident of its chances against the Packers since they earlier beat the latter 20-17 last November 28 in just their second home game versus Green Bay in 18 years.
Falcons star quarterback Matt Ryan is confident if they can continue to play their game there is no reason they will lose against the Packers.
The Falcons is very confident in this game since they have won nine of their last 10 games in the National Football League regular season.
Falcons coach Mike Smith said his troops is very serious in their game since they desperately wants to win an NFL playoff game.
Smith said playing at home will give his ward more boost in playing their A-game come game-time.
To beat the Packers, Ryan must give his 101 percent effort in their game.
Aside from Ryan, Pro Bowl running back Michael Turner, who finished with the league’s third-highest rushing total with 1,371 yards and was tied for fourth with 12 TDs, must also play superb for his team to beat the Packers.
The visiting Packers for its part can pull an upset if Aaron Rodgers could outplay Ryan or have an explosive night against the Falcons.
Rodgers must to his to execute well for his team to bring victory to the Packers against the Falcons.
Packers rookie running back James Starks, who set a franchise rookie playoff record by rushing for 123 yards, must also continue to play great for his team
The sixth-round pick ran for 101 in three regular-season appearances.

Two of the lower ranked teams in the current National Football League season will face each other on Sunday night for a chance to get a slot in the forthcoming playoffs in the premier professional football league in the planet.
The St. Louis Rams will visit Seattle Seahawks in what is expected to be another action-packed game in the 2010 NFL season.
Sporting a 7-8 record, the Rams is the slight favorite to win their game due to a superior record compared to the 6-9 slate of the home-team Seahawks.
The Rams got the chance to fight for an NFL playoff spot after beating the San Francisco 49ers 25-17 last Sunday to avoid a season-high third straight loss.
The visiting team is fully focused in this game since a victory over the Seahawks would give them the chance to finish on top of the NFC West and an NFL playoff slot.
The dream of the Rams to capture the NFC West will be a tough challenge for the team since the Rams hasn’t won the NFC West since 2003 and hasn’t reached the postseason since an 8-8 finish in 2004.
Despite the odds the Rams are confident of their chances against the Seahawks and the possibility of entering the playoffs.
To beat the Seahawks, Rams rookie quarterback Sam Bradford must continue his splendid plays for his team against the home-team.
According to the latest statistics the 2010 No. 1 overall draft pick has completed an NFL rookie-record 335 passes, and he broke Peyton Manning’s 12-year-old mark while throwing for 292 yards and a touchdown last week.
Through the strong effort of Bradford’s help, the Rams have scored 283 points after posting a league-low 175 in 2009.
Bradford, who is 22 attempts shy of breaking another Manning rookie record, had 289 yards and two TDs as the Rams snapped a 10-game slide to Seattle with a 20-3 win Oct. 3.
If Bradford can continue his huge plays for his team there is no reason his team will lose against the Seahawks.
The odds of winning might not be on their side but the Seahawks can still pull a surprise if they would play as a team.
Facing the visiting Rams will be a tough task for the Seahawks since they will be playing without starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck who is down with an injury.
To defeat the Rams, Seahawks back-up quarterback Charlie Whitehurst should play his A-game come game-time.
Whitehurst was 11 of 18 for 66 yards in Hasselbeck’s place last week. In his only other start, he was 12 of 23 for 113 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions in a 41-7 loss to the New York Giants on Nov. 7.
To emerge victorious, Whitehurst and the rest of the Seahawks must give their 101 percent on Sunday night against the Rams.

The New England Patriots is favored to win its 12th win in the current National Football League season when they play host to the undermanned Green Bay Packers on Sunday evening.
Sporting an impressive 11-2 record, the Patriots are fully motivated to win their game against the Packers so that they will have the chance to clinch the AFC East title and a first-round bye in the forthcoming NFL playoffs.
Lead by superstar quarterback Tom Brady, the Patriots had been a steady force this year in the NFL and a huge force in its home games.
The Patriots had not yet lost a regular-season home game in Foxborough since 2006.
Through the strong efforts of Brady and Patriots coach Bill Belichick the team have won 15 consecutive regular-season home games since losing to Pittsburgh on Nov. 30, 2008.
Aside from its superior record compared to the 8-5 record of the Packers, the Patriots are picked to defeat the Packers since the latter will be playing without its superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is down with an injury.
The remarkable showing of the Patriots this year had been anchored on the magnificent performance shown by Brady who hopes to extend his NFL record of 26 consecutive regular-season home wins by a quarterback, may be playing the best ball of his career.
He has thrown 19 touchdown passes with no interceptions in his last eight games.
Brady has now gone 268 consecutive pass attempts without an interception – 40 shy of Bernie Kosar’s all-time record streak bridging the 1990-91 seasons.
Brady’s production has improved since the Patriots traded wide receiver Randy Moss in October, replacing him with Deion Branch a favorite target from earlier in Brady’s career.
Branch and fellow receiver Wes Welker each caught eight passes despite frigid, snowy conditions in last Sunday’s 36-7 victory at Chicago.
If Brady and the rest of his crew will play with their A-game come Sunday there is no reason they will not win against the Packers.
The odds of winning might not be on their side against the Patriots due to the absence of Rodgers, but the Packers still pack a punch if they just know how to use it effectively.
To defeat the mighty Patriots, Packers back-up quarterback third-year backup Matt Flynn, who went 15 of 26 for 177 yards and an interception in relief last week, need to play superb in his first career start in Rodgers’ place.
If Flynn can produce solid numbers against the Patriots chances of victory against the Patriots is not remote for the Packers.
The Patriots might be playing without its leader in Rodgers, the team still needs to give its 101 efforts since winning against the home-tea, will further boost their quest for the wild-card spot in the playoffs.
Getting the chance to get a wild-card slot will not be easy for the Patriots as the team host the New York Giants and the Chicago Bear in the final two weeks of the current NFL season.
To boost the morale of the team as they fight for a wild-card slot, the Packers needs to play as a team to defeat the heavily favored Patriots.
Getting an upset victory against the Patriots is still very possible if the Packers will just have to focus themselves on winning and play superb come game-time.

THE DECISION of the Minnesota Vikings to fire head coach Brad Childress could have a positive or negative result on the performance of the team in the ongoing National Football League season.
Standing at a 3-7 win-loss record, the decision of the management to fire Childress after five NFL seasons with the team could motivate the team to play even harder in the current NFL season.
The move to fire Childress could compel the players to work even harder to improve the standing of the team and get the chance to compete in the NFL playoffs and even play in the Super Bowl this year.
The Vikings management earlier decided to fire Childress for the woeful record of the team and his failure ill-advised decisions that resulted to team turmoil and losses in the 2010 NFL season.
Childress went 40-37 with the Vikings, including 1-2 in the playoffs. He was all in with Favre, riding his incredible 2009 season to the NFC championship game and then going down this year under the weight of his struggles to regain that rhythm.
With the firing of Childress, defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier  will take over the head-coaching job for the team in the remainder of the NFL season.
Frazier said he will do his best to bring back success to the team in their remaining games this year.
The newly designated head coach added Viking superstar quarterback Brett Favre will continue to be the starting quarterback of the team until his retirement after the end of the current NFL season this year.
While the outlook for the Vikings remains uncertain in the remainder of the NFL season, many hopes especially the fans of the team the move could lead to wins for the team as give them a slot in the NFL post season games.
The Vikings management wish their decision to fire Childress could eventually result to a positive note for the team in the 2010 NFL season.

The woes of the Miami Dolphins in losing at their own home-arena continue at the ongoing National Football League season.
For the 4th time this year, the Dolphins lose at home as they suffer an embarrassing 16-0 loss to the visiting Chicago Bears, who now improve to a 7-3 win-loss record.
The shutout loss is the second home defeat of the Dolphins after 40 years and dropped them to 5-5 in the current NFL season.
Bears reliable defensive end Julius Peppers had a monster game for the visitor as he only allowed 187 yards and a single third-down conversion to bring down the Dolphins.
Peppers also had three sacks and Charles Tillman recorded an interception for the Bears, who earned their first shutout since Nov. 19, 2006, against the Jets.
Matt Forte, the star running back of the Bears also had a huge contribution for the winning NFL team as he carried 25 times for 97 yards and a score for the Bears, who converted 10 of 18 third-down situations and controlled the ball for nearly 38 minutes.
The Bears victory against the Dolphins had been anchored on their tough defense against the injury plagued home-team.
The Bears were very happy with their victory since it gave him a strong chance to compete for the NFL playoffs and even play for the Super Bowl this year.
The Dolphins for its part were very sad with their loss since it makes their climb for an NFL playoff spot even harder this year.
Aside from the strong plays of the Bears, the defeat of the Dolphins had been blamed on the various injuries suffered by some of the key players of the team including the team’s top two quarterbacks Chad Pennington and Chad Henne.
Dolphins third-string quarterback Tyler Thigpen had an uneventful performance as he took six sacks in his first NFL start since 2008, which lead to their defeat against the visiting team.
Thigpen is the 15th quarterback to start for the Dolphins since Dan Marino.
Tony Sparano, the Dolphins coach for his part said the defeat is disappointing but he remains confident they could still get an NFL playoff slot if they play even harder and toughen up in defense.
Sparano said although the team suffers a series of injury this year, it is now the cause of their low play but rather on the over-all performance of the whole team in the wake of their injury problem.

Look-out the New Orleans Saints is dead serious in defending its National Football League crown this year.
This developed after the Saints defeated the tough Pittsburgh Steelers to show the world that they are for real in the current NFL season.
Saints superstar quarterback Drew Brees was the main man for his team as he connected all but two of 22 passes he attempted in the second half, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns that lifted the Saints to a 20-10 victory over the Steelers.
The victory over the Steelers and its superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hiked the record of the Saints to 5-3 win-loss record.
The victory is also a huge gift to their fans after an embarrassing 30-17 loss at home last week to the scuffling Cleveland Browns.
The win also solidify even further the chances of the Saints to enter the NFL playoffs and defend their crown in the 2010 Super Bowl.
Brees is very happy with their victory since it came against the Steelers, one of the top contenders in the current NFL season who now dropped to 5-2.
Roethlisberger who had a great return last week was disappointed with their loss but made a vow that the team will bounced back from their loss.
In the game, Roethlisberger was only 17 of 28 for 195 yards.
The were determined in the game as they made the Saints struggle with its vaunted defense which tops the NFL this year.
However, the day belonged to the home-team Saints who won the game through its over-all team-effort and determination.

Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby played hero for his team as they defeated the red-hot home-team New York Jets 9-0 in the ongoing National Football League season.
Crosby scored three field goals to carry the Packers to victory and hand the Jets its second defeat in seven games in the 2010 NFL season.
The victory is also a huge morale booster for the Packers since they literally shutdown the Jets right in-front of their own fans.
The Packers victory also put a stop to the five-game winning streak of the Jets  and shut them out for the first time since a  10-0 loss to Chicago on Nov. 19, 2006, at home.
To get the victory, the Packers employed tough defense on the Jets to improve their win-loss record to 5-3 and solidify further its aim for an NFL playoff spot.
The Packers put a hand-cuff to Mark Sanchez, who is very instrumental in carrying the Jets to the league’s best record prior to their loss to the visiting team.
The win is also a great escape for the Packers since its star quarterback Aaron Rodgers himself do not have a great game like Sanchez.
In the game Rodgers finished 15 of 34 for 170 yards.
Sanchez was 16 of 38 for 256 yards and two interceptions—both on disputed calls—and had at least four passes dropped by receivers.
Jets coach Rex Ryan is sad with their loss and joked that they be given a second chance to play the same game against the Packers.
Sanchez is himself disappointed with their loss and vowed to play even harder in the next NFL games of his team in the current NFL season.
The Packers for its part were happy with their victory and hope they can sustain it until the end of the 2010 NFL season.
