Cowboys targets upset win vs. Eagles
Cowboys seeks 2nd win vs. Packers

Cincinnati Bengals was still able to enter the playoffs in the 1970 NFL season.According to reports Washington Redskins superstar quarterback Donavan McNabb will not be playing in their National Football League season game opener against the Dallas Cowboys on September 12.
If the reports are true, the chances of the Dallas Cowboys victory against the Redskins is solidified even further since McNabb is a vital part of the Washington Redskins roster. No less than Redskins coach Mike Shanahan told the media that he is not sure if McNabb can play in their home opener against the very tough Cowboys.
Shanahan revealed McNabb had yet to participate in their recent practises after he sprain his left ankle in their second preseason game against the Baltimore Orioles. He said McNabb’s leg is too sore for him to participate in their practises and their incoming pres-season game against the Arizona Cardinals.
If indeed, McNabb could not play for the Redskins in their game opener against the Cowboys it would be a huge setback since he is the one who will set plays for the team.
McNabb is a reliable quarterback who can efficiently run any NFL franchise like what he did while still playing for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Without McNabb backup quarterback Rex Grossman need to step up his game for them to have a winning chance against the Cowboys.
The Cowboys is picked to win their game against the Redskins since it had a superb 2009 NFL season winning the NFC East with a 11-5 record.
With a great NFL season the past year, the Cowboys is expected to have another banner year this year. While the Cowboys is expected to move past the Redskins in their game, hope is not gone for the Redskins if they play their hearts out.
The Redskins still has the capability to beat the Cowboys all they have to do is to play their A-game against the favored Cowboys.
2010 NFC East Predictions
Dallas Cowboys—Could take 1st place and repeat as champs (10-6)—The way the team prepares in the off-season and the way the management beef-up its roster makes the Dallas Cowboys the favorite to take first place in the division and repeat as champion.
If luck will be on the side of the Cowboys they could still make it to the playoffs as most of their talented crew are back with the team for the 2010 NFL season.
To make their offense more stronger the team was able to acquire in the NFL draft talented wide receiver Dez Bryant from Oklahoma State who is a great complementary player on seasoned wide receiver Miles Austin.
The trusted tight end of the team Jason Witten is also back in action this year which could result in an all-out passing attack against their opponents.
Taking the second best defense record in the NFL the past year as far as points per game is concerned, there is no reason they could not repeat such feat and even surpass it.

New York Giants—Close second to Cowboys (9-7)—If the New York Giants can continue its superb offence in 2009 and improve their defense this year chances are they could land second in the tight race for NFC supremacy.
Despite the departure of three of its reliable receiving threats in the 2009 NFL season the Giants still surprised the professional football league with a great offensive onslaught.
In 2009, new offensive heroes emerged from the team one of whom is wide receiver Steve Smith who was able to caught up 107 passes the past year.
However, the true recognition for the strong showing of the Giants goes to superstar quarterback Eli Manning who played his best for the team in 2009.
While their defense is a still a big question mark, new defensive coordinator Perry Fewell could prove the critics wrong by creating a superb defense game plan for the team in 2010.
The addition of defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul out of South Florida is a welcome addition since he can contribute heavily on the fierce pass rush where the Giants is known for in the NFL.

Philadelphia Eagles—Third place finish is decent enough for team (9-7)—The departure of superstar quarterback Donovan McNabb is a huge loss for the team and taking third place in their division is a decent achievement for the team and its new starting quarterback Kevin Kolb.
Without Mcnabb in its roster the Eagles will suffer big-time as far as offence is concerned since the latter had been a staple part of the offensive arsenal of the NFL team.
To salvage third place Kolb, a second round draft pick from Houston must play hard and have a break-out year as the new lead quarterback of the team.
Kolb must work hard since the countless fans of the Eagles always seeks success and would not settle for a mediocre result.
If Kolb and coach Reid wants to keep their jobs for years to come, they should collaborate masterfully to carry the Eagles to success in the next NFL season.

Washington Redskins—McNabb is no guarantee for success, 4th place finish is likely (6-10)—The acquisition of superstar quarterback Donovan McNabb will not guarantee immediate success for the Washington Redskins and ending up as fourth place in the division is very possible.
Although McNabb is a heck of a quarterback he could not immediately create an impact for the team who rely heavily to its former starting quarterback Jason Campbell.
The fact that is has a new coach in Mike Shanahan is not a great news either since he prefers a 3-4 style of play over a 4-3 on defense which do not sit well on some of the Redskins player.
To achieve success unity is a must have virtue but in the case of the team it is still far cry.
While chaos could ruin the dream of a the Redskins for a great 2010 NFL finish, chances are the team could still succeed if they find way to jell and patch things up.
