Steelers slightly favored to roll past Packers in Super Bowl

The Pittsburgh Steelers has been picked by experts to rule the Super Bowl against the Green Bay Packers in the current National Football League season.
The number two seed Steelers (14-4) is the favorite in this NFL championship game since they have a better record compared to the sixth seeded Packers (13-6).
A successful NFL franchise, the Steelers aims to get its seventh Vince Lombardi trophy when they face the very determined Packers on Sunday night.
Lead by controversial quarterback Ben Roethlisberger the Steelers had a great season this year as the marched towards the biggest stage NFL.
After having accused in March of sexually assaulting a 20-year-old college student – the second time since 2008 he faced assault allegations, Roethlisberger was suspended for four games at the start of this season for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
Despite the accusation and suspension, Roethlisberger still gave his 101 percent effort and carried his team to victories against some of top NFL teams to reach the Super Bowl.
To keep their NFL postseason winning streak alive, Roethlisberger once again needs to produce solid numbers to his team to bring home the bacon to the Steelers fans.
NFL defensive player of the year Steelers safety Troy Polamalu also needs to continue with his great defensive effort to bring victory to the Steelers over the Packers.
The key for the Steelers in this game is to allow Roethlisberger to do his thing being a seven-year NFL veteran.
Having won two-Super Bowl rings, Roethlisberger must use his experience to topple the Packers and its young quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The Packers for its part can hurdle their tough task and beat the Steelers if Rodgers can continue his huge NFL postseason plays.
Rodgers is a big revelation for the Packers this season as he overcome odds to lead his team to victories over the NFL teams expected to beat them in the playoffs.
The Packers quarterback has showed the world in the playoffs that he is ready to carry the Packers on his back away from the shadows of former Packers quarterback NFL great Brett Favre.
The key for the Packers in this game is to once again get solid contributions from Rodgers who faces a tough opponent in Roethlisberger.
If Rodgers can hold his ground against the Roethlisberger there is a big chance the Packers can pull and upset and beat the favored Steelers.
Packers linebacker Clay Matthews also needs to continually play big for his team to get the Super Bowl crown this year.
The rest of the Packers players also need to give their A-game to topple the favored Steelers in their NFL championship match-up.

Sporting a better record than the Packers, the Falcons are favored to win its playoff match-up against the Packers.
The Falcons have more reasons to be confident of its chances against the Packers since they earlier beat the latter 20-17 last November 28 in just their second home game versus Green Bay in 18 years.
Falcons star quarterback Matt Ryan is confident if they can continue to play their game there is no reason they will lose against the Packers.
The Falcons is very confident in this game since they have won nine of their last 10 games in the National Football League regular season.
Falcons coach Mike Smith said his troops is very serious in their game since they desperately wants to win an NFL playoff game.
Smith said playing at home will give his ward more boost in playing their A-game come game-time.
To beat the Packers, Ryan must give his 101 percent effort in their game.
Aside from Ryan, Pro Bowl running back Michael Turner, who finished with the league’s third-highest rushing total with 1,371 yards and was tied for fourth with 12 TDs, must also play superb for his team to beat the Packers.
The visiting Packers for its part can pull an upset if Aaron Rodgers could outplay Ryan or have an explosive night against the Falcons.
Rodgers must to his to execute well for his team to bring victory to the Packers against the Falcons.
Packers rookie running back James Starks, who set a franchise rookie playoff record by rushing for 123 yards, must also continue to play great for his team
The sixth-round pick ran for 101 in three regular-season appearances.

Holding a 9-5 record compared to the Packers who has an 8-6 record, the Giants are the slight favorites to win their important game to be played on the turf of the Packers.
A win over the Packers at the Lambeau Field will give the Giants a playoff chance for them to have the chance to compete for the Super Bowl this year.
With the huge reward at stake in their game, Giants coach Tom Coughlin and his whole team is dead serious on beating the equally determined Packers.
Leading the charge for the visiting Giants is superstar quarterback Eli Manning, who threw for four touchdowns along with his league-leading 20th interception last week.
Manning who carried the cause of the Giants needs to have an A-gave to ensure the Giants can beat the Packers and get an NFL playoff spot.

The Packers for their part can defeat the visiting Giants if reliable quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is back from injury, can have a splendid game for his team.
Rodgers threw for 11 touchdowns and no interceptions in a four-game span prior to suffering the concussion Dec. 12, when he failed to slide on a run and was hit hard in a 7-3 loss at Detroit.
The Packers star quarterback vowed to do his best to bring victory to his team who needs to win their last two games to enter the playoffs.
Rodgers said the Giants are a tough team to beat but he is confident his team can beat them on Sunday night.
He said to beat the Giants they need to play as a team and stop Manning from executing good plays for his team.
The star quarterback said the odds of winning might not be on their side but he and the rest of the Packers are very motivated to win in-front of their fans and get the chance to compete in the NFL postseason games.

The New England Patriots is favored to win its 12th win in the current National Football League season when they play host to the undermanned Green Bay Packers on Sunday evening.
Sporting an impressive 11-2 record, the Patriots are fully motivated to win their game against the Packers so that they will have the chance to clinch the AFC East title and a first-round bye in the forthcoming NFL playoffs.

To defeat the mighty Patriots, Packers back-up quarterback third-year backup Matt Flynn, who went 15 of 26 for 177 yards and an interception in relief last week, need to play superb in his first career start in Rodgers’ place.
If Flynn can produce solid numbers against the Patriots chances of victory against the Patriots is not remote for the Packers.
The Patriots might be playing without its leader in Rodgers, the team still needs to give its 101 efforts since winning against the home-tea, will further boost their quest for the wild-card spot in the playoffs.
Getting the chance to get a wild-card slot will not be easy for the Patriots as the team host the New York Giants and the Chicago Bear in the final two weeks of the current NFL season.
To boost the morale of the team as they fight for a wild-card slot, the Packers needs to play as a team to defeat the heavily favored Patriots.
Getting an upset victory against the Patriots is still very possible if the Packers will just have to focus themselves on winning and play superb come game-time.

THE DALLAS COWBOYS seeks its second win in the current National Football League season when they visit the Green Bay Packers on November 7.
The Dallas is badly needing a victory to improve its 1-6 win-loss record against the former NFL champion, who enjoys a home-court advantage in their game.
The odds in this game are not on the side of the Cowboys due to their lower record compared to the 5-3 standing of the home-team Packers.
The 2010 NFL season had been a constant struggle for the Cowboys as they pile up consecutive losses despite being tagged as one of the early favorites to win the Super Bowl crown this year.
Lead by superstar quarterback Tony Romo the Cowboys has failed in its bid to live up to its potential this year.
Last Sunday, the Cowboys was beaten by the Jacksonville Jaguars right in-front of its fans 35-17.
In the game against the Packers, the Cowboys face a new challenge as the team will be missing the services of Romo, who is suffering from a left collarbone injury.
Taking charge for the Cowboys in their game against the Packers is back-up quarterback Jon Kitna, who despite their loss still was able to play relatively well against the Jaguars in his first start since 2008, going 34 of 49 for 379 yards with a touchdown.
He threw three interceptions, but all three balls bounced off the hands of receivers.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips hope Kitna can have a great game to bring back the winning attitude for the team and jump-start the team in the current NFL season.
The Packers for its part is flying high these days due to their three-game winning streak.
Playing in their own-arena, the Packers is favored to get its sixth victory in the game although the Cowboys could still pull a surprise against the home-team.
If Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers can sustain his nice plays for the team it would be an early night for the Cowboys.
The Packers has almost all the odds to win on their side but the visiting Cowboys can always pull the thunder in their game if Kitna and his teammates will have an A-game on Sunday evening.

Crosby carry Packers to victory vs. Jets 9-0

Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby played hero for his team as they defeated the red-hot home-team New York Jets 9-0 in the ongoing National Football League season.
Crosby scored three field goals to carry the Packers to victory and hand the Jets its second defeat in seven games in the 2010 NFL season.
The victory is also a huge morale booster for the Packers since they literally shutdown the Jets right in-front of their own fans.
The Packers victory also put a stop to the five-game winning streak of the Jets  and shut them out for the first time since a  10-0 loss to Chicago on Nov. 19, 2006, at home.
To get the victory, the Packers employed tough defense on the Jets to improve their win-loss record to 5-3 and solidify further its aim for an NFL playoff spot.
The Packers put a hand-cuff to Mark Sanchez, who is very instrumental in carrying the Jets to the league’s best record prior to their loss to the visiting team.
The win is also a great escape for the Packers since its star quarterback Aaron Rodgers himself do not have a great game like Sanchez.
In the game Rodgers finished 15 of 34 for 170 yards.
Sanchez was 16 of 38 for 256 yards and two interceptions—both on disputed calls—and had at least four passes dropped by receivers.
Jets coach Rex Ryan is sad with their loss and joked that they be given a second chance to play the same game against the Packers.
Sanchez is himself disappointed with their loss and vowed to play even harder in the next NFL games of his team in the current NFL season.
The Packers for its part were happy with their victory and hope they can sustain it until the end of the 2010 NFL season.

Nick Barnett’s season ending injury could derail Packers bid for Super Bowl

The quest of the Green Bay Packers to win the Super Bowl crown this year faces a serious setback due to the season ending injury suffered by its reliable linebacker Nick Barnett.
According to reports, Barnett suffered  a wrist injury very similar to the one that ended the season of Brian Urlacher last year.
The Packers who hold an impressive record of 3-1 is having an injury plague season as it already lose starting running back Ryan Grant is out with an ankle injury, and rookie safety Morgan Burnett tore his ACL this year.
Despite the injury suffered by its key players, the Packers was still able to win three of its four matches in the 2010 NFL season.
With the latest injury suffered by Barnett, experts said the winning momentum of the Packers could be severely affected since he is an important part of the Packers roster this year.
Packers coach Mike McCarthy is however optimistic of the chances of his team despite the injury suffered by his key players.
He said if the team will continue to work as a team they are very confident of their chances in the 2010 NFL season.
McCarthy said if his starting quarterback Aaron Rogers will continue to play hard they have a great oppurtunity to have a great NFL season this year.
The Packers coach said his team will continue to play hard inspite of the injuries suffered by his key players to give joy to the franchise and their countless fans around the world.

The improved plays of young quarterback Aaron Rodgers put the Green Bay Packers a strong contender for the NFC North crown the Super Bowl trophy this year.

Rodgers had a great 2009 NFL season that made him be considered as one of the top-five quarterback in the NFL today.

Despite having a poor offensive line, Rodgers still rose up from the situation and took 4434 yards, 30 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions.

With Rodgers doing the quarterbacking chores the Packers is out to have a slam-bang 2010 NFL season.
