The New Orleans Saints hopes to strengthen their playoff hopes when they visit the red-hot Atlanta Falcons on Monday night in the ongoing National Football League season.
Sporting a 10-4 record, the Saints are the underdog in the game against the Falcons (12-2) who had not lose at home this NFL season.
Taking a win at the lair of the Falcons is hard but the Saints could still do it if superstar quarterback Drew Brees can have another magnificent game for his team.
The road towards an NFL playoff is quite a challenge for the Saints since to earn a wild-card berth, the team needs to just one of its last two games.
Knowing the importance of their game, Brees is very determined to bring victory to his team and bring them back to the NFL playoffs this year.
The key for the Saints is to play tough defense and stop the Falcons from taking control of the game.
Brees must assert himself in the game to bring a much needed win for his team.
The heavily favored Falcons for its part are very determined to win their game so that they can capture the NFC South division title and the home court advantage all throughout the playoffs.
Winning their last eight in a row overall and the last three have come away from home, including last Sunday’s 34-18 victory over Seattle, the Falcons is picked to win over the determined Saints.
To keep their winning streak alive, star quarterback Matt Ryan must continue to execute great plays for his team against the very tough Saints team.
Ryan has won 15 straight in Atlanta since a loss to Denver on Nov. 16, 2008, and is 19-1 all-time at the Georgia Dome, tied with Danny White for the best winning percentage in a player’s first 20 home starts in the Super Bowl era.
In six home games this season, Ryan has thrown for 1,545 yards with 12 touchdowns and three interceptions.
If Ryan can keep his huge performance in this game there is no reason for the Falcons to lose against the visiting Saints.
With so much at stake in their game, the Falcons-Saints game promises to be a slam-bang affair to all NFL aficionados all over the world.

Look-out the New Orleans Saints is dead serious in defending its National Football League crown this year.
This developed after the Saints defeated the tough Pittsburgh Steelers to show the world that they are for real in the current NFL season.
Saints superstar quarterback Drew Brees was the main man for his team as he connected all but two of 22 passes he attempted in the second half, including two fourth-quarter touchdowns that lifted the Saints to a 20-10 victory over the Steelers.
The victory over the Steelers and its superstar quarterback Ben Roethlisberger hiked the record of the Saints to 5-3 win-loss record.
The victory is also a huge gift to their fans after an embarrassing 30-17 loss at home last week to the scuffling Cleveland Browns.
The win also solidify even further the chances of the Saints to enter the NFL playoffs and defend their crown in the 2010 Super Bowl.
Brees is very happy with their victory since it came against the Steelers, one of the top contenders in the current NFL season who now dropped to 5-2.
Roethlisberger who had a great return last week was disappointed with their loss but made a vow that the team will bounced back from their loss.
In the game, Roethlisberger was only 17 of 28 for 195 yards.

Luck continues to evade the Dallas Cowboys in the 2010 National Football League season.
The Cowboys, who is an early favorite to win the Super Bowl crown this year suffers its fifth loss and only a single win in the NFL season with a heart-pounding 35-41 loss to the New York Giants.
What is more unfortunate with the loss is the fact that the Cowboys lose its superstar quarterback Tony Romo for six to eight weeks after suffering a left collarbone injury in the game.
Romo, who is considered as the heart and soul of the Cowboys suffered the injury after he was hit hard by Giants linebacker Michael Boley in one plays in the game.
Now that Romo is injured, the opportunity for the Cowboys to enter the NFL playoffs is getting slimmer since his absence leaves a big-hole to fill in the quarterback position.
Expected to fill in the void left by Romo is 38-year-old Cowboys back-up quarterback Jon Kitna who hadn’t played since Oct. 5, 2008, when he was part of Detroit’s win-less season.
Compared to Romo, Kitna is old and less skilled which is why the Cowboys are up for a huge challenge in their remaining games in the NFL regular season especially that Romo is out with an injury.
Back to the game, the Giants were on mission on the night of October 25, as superstar quarterback Eli Manning took advantage of the absence of Romo powering the Giants from a 13-point deficit to a
41-35 victory that put the Giants a full game ahead of the NFC East and tied for the most wins in the conference.
Manning led New York (5-2) on five straight scoring drives over the middle two quarters, posting 31 points.
The loss is very disappointing for the Cowboys who had the chance to win the game before disaster strike when its superstar quarterback got injured.
Romo is very sad with his injury and loss but he remains optimistic with their chances since a 1-5 win-loss record Cincinnati Bengals was still able to enter the playoffs in the 1970 NFL season.
He said all they have to is to play harder in his absence and always follow the game-plan of the team.
The superstar quarterback also wished his replacement Kitna saying the veteran NFL star now has the chance to shine in his absence.
Giants coach Tom Coughlin for his part is very happy with their victory since it strengthen further their chance to enter the NFL playoffs this year.
Coughlin said the Giants lead by Manning are on a mission to capture the Super Bowl crown from the New Orleans whose superstar quarterback Peyton Manning happens to be the brother of his top quarterback.
The 2010 NFL season is now in full-throttle to bring smiles to professional football fans all over the globe.

In an unusual move the fate of the Arizona Cardinals has been put on the shoulder of an undrafted rookie quarterback when the team faces the defending National Football League champion New Orleans Saints on October 10.
Arizona Cardinal coach Ken Whisehunt revealed young quarterback Max Hall will take the starting quarterback role for the team at home when they face NFL Most Valuable Player Peyton Manning and New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Whisehunt said his move to put the former BYU standout as starter might raise an eyebrow but he believe it is the right thing to do at the moment that the team is seeking the much needed wins to improve their 2-2 current record.
He said although young Hall has the upside to be the next Kurt Warne in the NFL.
The young quarterback gets the nod to lead the Cardinals after former starting quarterback Derek Anderson is not performing well after signing an earlier two-year contract with the team.
The Cardinals signed Anderson to a contract thinking he will be an asset to the team after the Cleveland Brown release him.
However, the strong-armed Anderson was benched after throwing two first-half interceptions in last Sunday’s 41-10 loss at San Diego.
In the same game, Hall had a much better performance than Anderson as he completed 8 of 14 passes for 82 yards without an interception but was sacked six times.
Whitehunt is confident Hall can deliver good plays and more efficient offence for the Cardinals so that they can get pass the defending NFL champion.
The 6-foot-1 Hall a hometown favorite, having grown up in nearby Mesa is very happy with the opportunity that came his way and promised to give it all in their game against the Saints in order not to disappoint the team and their fans.
Hall said the challenge playing against Manning and the Saints is tough but he looks forward to such an opportunity to prove to the world he is ready to rule the NFL and carry the Cardinals to victory.
The Saints is favored to win against the home team Cardinals especially if Manning can once again show another MVP performance for his team.
Holding a higher record of 3-1, the Saints is expected to win the game against the Cardinals who is still seeking great performance from its quarterbacks.
Although the underdog in the game, the Cardinals could still win if Hall will have a superb game in his first starting job as quarterback in the 2010 NFL season.

After being on the list of the unable-to-perform-list (PUP), the management of the Tennessee Titans removed the defensive tackle Tony Brown leaving only David Thornton (still recovering from shoulder surgery) on the list. Tony Brown will now return to play on their preseason finale with the New Orleans Saints and be able to outdo his past performances as the Titans are set to have their first regular season game against the Oakland Raiders who’ll be visiting their home field, LP Field, on September 12, 2010 at 1:00PM.

Brown was put into the PUP after undergoing surgery on his right knee which led him to missing the last season’s finale. Brown told the reporters that it really feels good to be out of the PUP list and that he is so excited to be back on the game running around pain- and stress-free. He just can’t wait for their preseason finale game between the Saints. Meanwhile, having Tony Brown back just in time to face the Raiders will mean a lot to the Tennessee Titans. Veteran Cornerback Cortland Finnegan will also join the team in facing the Raiders, which will make the team a powerful cast.

Sportsbook and handicappers had set the Titans as the favorite, leaving the Oakland Raiders the underdog. Can this condition boosts their confidence and could hail them victorious against the Raiders? Bettors and fans, watch out!

There can be no better than this.

The Saints lead by star quarterback Drew Brees will face NFL superstar quarterback Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings in the blockbuster opening week of the NFL on September 9 at the turf the defending Super Bowl Champion.

Having a banner year the past NFL season, the Saints is slightly favored to win their  opening match against the Vikings who will be reinforced by Favre, probably his last hurrah in the NFL this year.

The New Orleans Saints is poised to repea as Super Bowl Champion this year.

The New Orleans Saints is poised to repeat as Super Bowl Champion in the 2010 National Football League season.

The road towards a repeat as champions is hard for the Saints but very attainable after the team was able to acquire the services of Db Patrick Robinson in the NFL off-season.

A great NFL defender who is touted for his speed will add defensive firepower to the Saints who wants to improve their 25 ranking in NFL last year with a 357.8 yards per game allowed average.

The key for the Saints this year is to have a respectable defense and a high octane offence anchored on their running game.
To achieve their goal Brees needs to repeat or even surpass his 4,500 yard mark last year.

On the other-side of the fence, the Vikings can win their opener against the mighty Saints if Favre can again offer a magnificent performance that made him one of the top NFL quarterbacks of all-time.

Defying Father time maybe for the last time, Favre needs to give it his all if he wants the Vikings start big in the 2010 NFL season by winning its game against the Saints.

The odds might be against the Vikings against the Saints but as they say it aint until it is over.

To all bettors it would be safe to bet on the Saints but to all Vikings fans betting to your favorite NFL team is not bad at all since upset could happen anytime of the day.

New Orleans Saints—The 2009 National Football League (NFL) season is a banner year for the New Orleans Saints.

The New Orleans Saints did not only won the NFC South, the NFC Championship, but also the Super Bowl, the biggest prize in professional football that same year.

The winning season of the New Orleans Saints is a great blessing for the city which suffered severe devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina some years back.

In the last NFL season, New Orleans Saints capitalize on its vaunted offence lead by its dynamic young quarterback Drew Brees to cause headaches among its opponents and eventually lead to their Super Bowl crown.

This year, the odds to win the NFL crown is still high for the Saints although they faced tough competition from their revitalised opponents.

To repeat as Super Bowl champion, the Saints needs to improve their defense which is ranked in the bottom third of the league all season last year.

If the Saints can make some heed-way in their defense and Brees will continue to improve and play great chances are the Super Bowl will remain in New Orleans.

Fearless forecast—12-4.
