For the past National Football League seasons most teams love to play the Oakland Raiders since they have better chances of winning against them.
The Raiders for the past NFL seasons had been called the favorite whipping boys of most teams in the premier professional football league in the planet.
However, this year such a tag will not hold water anymore as the Raiders are playing inspired and great determination to move into the top of the NFL echelon.
Last Sunday (October 24), the Raiders showed the Denver Broncos they are a far different team in the 2010 NFL season as they demolish the home-team 59-14.
The 59 points scored by the Raiders is considered as the most points in their 51-year history.
Raiders running back Darren McFadden was the gem of the night for the team as he scored four touchdowns and had a stunningly quick start to bring tears to the fans of the Broncos and create smiles to his team and their countless fans all over the globe.
McFadden was simply great in the game as he defy the tough defense put up by the Broncos to put the Raiders to a 3-4 win-loss record and dropped the Broncos to 2-5.
Raiders coach Tom Cable was very happy with their victory and vowed his team will play even harder so that they will get the chance to enter the NFL playoffs and even compete for the Super Bowl this year.
While the Raiders are celebrating, the Broncos are mourning since it is their fourth loss at home without a win.
Broncos coach Josh McDaniels apologized to the franchise and its fans for being win-less at home.
In the game, the Broncos was clearly overplayed as the Raiders pepper them with points that lead to their lopsided loss.
The loss of the Broncos was also partly blamed on the injuries suffered by three of its key defensive player namely emotional leader Brian Dawkins (knee), cornerback Andre’ Goodman (thigh) and linebacker Robert Ayers (foot).
Despite their loss, the Broncos are still very much confident of their chances in the 2010 NFL season.

Luck continues to be on the side of National Football League star quarterback Alex Smith after the San Francisco 49ers decided to keep him as their starting quarterback despite the team’s 0-5 win loss record.
The decision of San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Singletary to keep Smith as starting quarterback for his team raised some eyebrows but the veteran coach is sticking with his man in this crucial moments  for the team in the 2010 NFL season.
Some sectors have called on Singletary to replace Smith as the team’s starting quarterback so that the team can finally win in the current NFL season.
However, Singletary said Smith will keep his job at the moment and he will evaluate him to determine if he can keep his role for the rest of the NFL season.
Smith, the 2005 No. 1 overall draft pick, drew huge criticism the first five games of the 2010 NFL season due to the numerous errors he committee that lead to his team’s win-less record.
Despite the criticism, Singletary said Smith still deserve to be the starting quarterback of his team since he had the talent to become a great quarterback in the NFL.
Singletary said all Smith needs to do is to find the way how to become a great quarterback so that he can keep his job and stay long in the NFL.
The 49ers coach said Smith gets the chance to redeem himself when the team play host against the Oakland Raiders on October 16.
He said Smith need to assert himself more and show the team and its fans that he deserve to keep his job as the starting quarterback of the 49ers.
Smith is very happy with the chance given by the 49ers management for him to redeem himself in the next games of the team.
He promised to play harder and be less cautious so that he can think well and bring the elusive wins for his team.
The 49ers organization is still confident of their chances this year despite their woeful record as team president Jed York has told the media the 49ers will win the NFC West.

After being on the list of the unable-to-perform-list (PUP), the management of the Tennessee Titans removed the defensive tackle Tony Brown leaving only David Thornton (still recovering from shoulder surgery) on the list. Tony Brown will now return to play on their preseason finale with the New Orleans Saints and be able to outdo his past performances as the Titans are set to have their first regular season game against the Oakland Raiders who’ll be visiting their home field, LP Field, on September 12, 2010 at 1:00PM.

Brown was put into the PUP after undergoing surgery on his right knee which led him to missing the last season’s finale. Brown told the reporters that it really feels good to be out of the PUP list and that he is so excited to be back on the game running around pain- and stress-free. He just can’t wait for their preseason finale game between the Saints. Meanwhile, having Tony Brown back just in time to face the Raiders will mean a lot to the Tennessee Titans. Veteran Cornerback Cortland Finnegan will also join the team in facing the Raiders, which will make the team a powerful cast.

Sportsbook and handicappers had set the Titans as the favorite, leaving the Oakland Raiders the underdog. Can this condition boosts their confidence and could hail them victorious against the Raiders? Bettors and fans, watch out!
